DIWA’s Steering Committe
DIWA is driven by a Steering Committee which comprises representatives of the Pan-African Federation of the Disabled and all Regional Federations of the Disabled in Africa as well as representatives of Deaf Persons and Blind Persons.
Mrs Rachel Kachaje, the DIWA Chairperson, represents the Pan-African Federation of the Disabled within DIWA. She is living in Lilongwe, Malawi. In 2007 the World Assembly of Disabled People International (DPI) elected her to be the Deputy Chair-person of DPI, especially responsible for development and underrepresented groups.
